If you have finished a course module or training activity but cannot click on or access the next item in your learning path, the issue is usually related to course sequencing or a missing completion trigger from the previous activity.
Common Causes & How to Resolve Them
Sequential Progression Requirements Many courses require activities to be completed in a strict order. If the system hasn't fully registered your completion of the previous step, the next item remains locked.
Fix: Reopen the previous activity. Ensure you viewed all content, reached the final slide or video timestamp, and saw a "Completed" status or exit screen before closing it.
Unmet Prerequisite Activities Certain items—like a required knowledge-check quiz, an end-of-module survey, or an acknowledgment check—must be submitted before the subsequent content unlocks.
Fix: Check if there is an unsubmitted quiz or survey tucked between or inside the completed module and the next locked step.
Pop-Up Blockers & Stale Browser Sessions If the previous course opened in a pop-up window or iframe, closing the window too quickly or having an active pop-up blocker can stop the course from sending its final completion signal back to BizLMS.
Fix: Re-launch the completed activity, let it run to the end for 5-10 seconds, and use the in-course Exit or Finish button rather than closing the browser tab directly.
Browser Caching Issues Your browser may still be displaying a cached version of your learning path from before you finished the last step.
Fix: Refresh your page (
Ctrl + F5on Windows,Cmd + Shift + Ron Mac) or log out and log back into BizLMS to force a status refresh.
Still Locked?
If the previous activity shows as Completed on your transcript but the next step remains unresponsive, contact your internal LMS Administrator. They can manually verify your activity status or reset the lesson attempt for you.
