If you are having trouble logging into your learning account using Single Sign-On (SSO), follow this guide to resolve common issues and get back on track.
Quick Checklist
Before diving into detailed troubleshooting, make sure:
You are using your official organizational email (school, work, or institution address).
Your internet connection is active and stable.
You are not using a saved bookmark that points to an expired login session. Always start from the main portal login URL.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
If you encounter an error during the SSO process, try these solutions in order:
Try an Incognito / Private Window
Browser extensions, stored cookies, or stale cache often interfere with SAML/SSO redirects. Open an incognito window and try logging in again.
Clear Cache and Cookies
If incognito works, clear your browser's cached files and cookies for all time, then restart your browser.
Check Your Network or VPN
Some organizations require you to be connected to their corporate or campus VPN to authenticate. Conversely, personal VPNs or aggressive ad-blockers can block SSO redirect tokens. Try disabling personal VPNs or connecting to your institution's network.
Verify Your Identity Provider (IdP) Status
If your organization uses Okta, Azure AD / Entra ID, Google Workspace, or Ping Identity, ensure your institution's portal itself is working. Try logging into your primary workplace/school email or dashboard directly.
Common Error Messages
| Error Message / Symptom | Possible Cause | Solution |
| "SAML Response Invalid" or "Token Expired" | Your system clock is out of sync or the session timed out. | Check your device's date/time settings and set them to automatic, then restart the login process. |
| "User Account Not Found in System" | Your LMS account hasn't been provisioned yet or email addresses don't match. | Contact your administrator to ensure your SSO email matches your learner profile. |
| "Access Denied" / "403 Forbidden" | You lack permission or assigned roles for this specific platform. | Reach out to your IT helpdesk to request access privileges for the learning platform. |
| Endless Redirect Loop | Browser cookie conflict or blocked third-party cookies. | Enable third-party cookies for the learning domain and clear site data. |
