What does this documentation cover?
For BizLibrary clients using Workday Learning, this document will cover how to setup and configure our integration through Workday’s Cloud Connect for Learning (CCL) API.
Are there any prerequisites or requirements?
For content status updates to be sent to Workday Learning, BizLibrary usernames must be an email address, and the learner must have that email address associated with their account in Workday.

Configuration of Workday Cloud Connect for Learning for your Content Provider
These steps should be performed by a user with Learning Administrator Permissions within Workday.
- Within Workday, search for Configure Cloud Connect for Learning in the global search bar
- Here you will be directed to Set Up Content and Content Provider task. You will see a flow of tasks to complete on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Enter the following information on the Set Up Content and Content Provider step
- Inactive Content Provider: Unchecked
- Integration System User: The CCL ISU (Integration System User) you have configured
- Requires Enrollment: Checked
- Exclude from Recommendations: Unchecked
- Exclude from search and Browse: Unchecked
- Click Next
- You will be taken to the next step in the flow, Manage Content Catalog
- Select a Default Learning Topic on the Manage Content Catalog Task
- Note: All content pushed to your tenant will initially be assigned this topic. You will be able to return to this task later and assign specific topic assignment rules based on the domains that you have associated with your content when you push it to the CCL Self-Service API
- Click Next
- You’ll be directed to the next task flow: Manage Cloud Connect for Learning Credentials
- Enable the Generate Credentials button and click Next
- You’ll be directed to the Generate Cloud Connect for Learning Credentials screen. On this screen you’ll see the following:
- /auth url
- /content url
- /tracking url
- Client ID
- Client Secret Key
- You’ll be directed to the Generate Cloud Connect for Learning Credentials screen. On this screen you’ll see the following:
- Select the Confirm check box and click Next to Display the Conclusion screen.
Setting Up Workday Integration on BizLibrary’s Content Delivery System (CDS)
- Administrators with the correct Workday SKU will log into CDS.
- From the CDS homepage, you will need to click on the settings cog in the top right and select the Workday Setup Option.
- If there are no Workday Integrations set up, you will need to create one by selecting New Integration.
- Fill out the required information in the modal shown below. This information is what you have received within Workday during the first step.
- Select a product from the dropdown list – there will typically only be one option.
- Input the Client ID you wish to use
- Input the Client Secret Key (follow tooltip steps in the modal on how to generate a new Client Secret Key)
- Input Auth URL (the base URL from the Integration Leaning Administration page)
- Input a Tracking URL (the base URL from the Integration Learning Administration page)
- Input a Content URL (the base URL from the Integration Learning Administration page)
- After you have populated these fields, please click on Validate.
- Once the connection is successful, your BizLibrary content will be synced within your Workday environment within 24 hours.
Setting up users within BizLibrary’s Platform
The last step in the process is to access BizLibrary’s Platform for your learners to consume content.
It is very important to note that BizLibrary usernames must be an email address for this integration to report tracking data back to Workday Learning.
- Start by visiting the BizLibrary platform.
- Log in using the credentials that the BizLibrary Support Team will provide to you.
- Click on the dropdown at the top of the page and select People then Learners. (Depending on your set up, you may land on this page by default).
- Once you are within the BizLibrary platform, you will need to create users. This can be done a few separate ways, as listed below:

Create one user
- To create one-off users, click on New Learner in the top right.
- Populate the required fields – remember that username must match the username within Workday.

Import users
- To import users in bulk, click on Import Learners in the top right.
- Download a template spreadsheet and populate your learner information – remember that username must match the username within Workday.
