This article provides step-by-step guidance on how to modify course attributes and details within your organization's Custom Library. Learn how to update key course information, manage support materials, customize quizzes and surveys, and enhance learner engagement through interactive elements—all from the course profile page.
To edit a course in your Custom Library:
- Select Administration from the main menu.
- From the sidebar, choose Learning > Libraries.
- Select the Custom Library where your course is stored.
- Search for and open the desired course.
Managing Course Content
- Details Tab: Use this tab to update course attributes like title, description, author, and more.
- Quiz Tab: Manage or add quizzes and surveys.
- Interactions Tab: Add interactive elements to enhance the learner experience.
Available Customizations
Take your custom content to the next level by editing key course elements. From the course profile page, you can modify:
- Title
- Description
- Code
- Duration
- Author
- Production Date
- Release Date
- Retired Date
- Audience
- Skill Level
- Tags
- Topics
- Thumbnail Images
Helpful Tip: You can retire any custom content at any time by selecting Actions > Retire on the course profile.
In addition to editing course attributes, you can:
- Upload or replace support materials
- Create, edit, or remove interactions
- Build or update a custom quiz or survey

Love the video but want a different quiz? You can create or modify the quiz or survey associated with the course.

Interactions (Video Lessons Only)
Interactions are available exclusively for video-based custom content. These allow you to guide and engage learners throughout the course.
You can add, edit, or remove the following interaction types:
- Section Titles: Display a header indicating the course section.
- Multiple Choice Questions: Ask learners to choose the correct option from a list.
- Select All That Apply: Let learners choose all relevant answers to a question.
- Thought Questions: Encourage deeper reflection with open-ended questions.
- YouTube Links: Embed a YouTube video using the video code from the YouTube "Share" option.
- Fill in the Blank: Require learners to enter a specific word or phrase.
- Poll Questions: Collect learner feedback on the course or topic.
- Tips: Share helpful notes or reminders during the course.
- Web Links: Direct learners to external resources (articles, videos, etc.).
- Resources: Provide external resources that are always available within the course player.
