Teams can be moved from one location to another and all assignments and learners will still stay associated with that team. If an assignment was made to the parent of that team, those assignments will not carry over when the team is moved. It's also important to note that the top level team cannot be moved.

To move a team:

1. Select Administration from the main menu
2. Select People then Teams from the sidebar menu
3. Locate the desired team and click on the title of the team
4. Open the Actions menu, then select Move. Make sure the allow multiple parent teams box is unchecked if you don't want the team to live under multiple teams.
5. Under Destination search for a team and select it from the drop down options
6. Select Move Team to move the team 

Helpful tip: If you would like a team to exist under more than one parent team, check the box to allow multiple parent teams.
