Within the system, teams are structured in a hierarchy (parent teams and sub-teams) to simplify reporting and automated assignments. Depending on your position in the hierarchy, learners will appear in your team profile in one of two ways:

• Direct Team Members: Learners who were explicitly added to your specific team.

• Indirect Team Members: Learners who belong to a sub-team underneath your team. Because you are managing a "parent" team, the system automatically surfaces these learners in your view for broader visibility.

How Assignments Work (Inheritance)

When you assign content, training, or tasks at the team level, the system uses inheritance:

• Any assignment made to a parent team automatically rolls down to all of its sub-teams.

• Future Impact: Any new learner added to this team or its sub-teams in the future will automatically inherit these assignments.

Quick Check: If you see a learner you didn't manually add, look for the Indirect label next to their name. This confirms they belong to one of your sub-teams.
