Exporting Content from CDS

Content packages can be downloaded for use in a client’s learning management system in a variety of ways within CDS.

Clients can choose to Download all content within their subscription, filtered results, a selective queue or a la carte. Content can be downloaded as AICC, SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 package types.

Downloading entire subscription

  • On the Browse Content page, without any active filters, simply click Download All. The download modal will open allowing the choice of package type. A download link will be delivered to the email addresses indicated within the modal that will download a zipped file containing all content.
  • The steps to download a filtered list are the same as above once the list of content is filtered as needed. The total results of the page will be downloaded by selecting Download All.

                            

A la carte download

  • Click the desired content title to open the Content Preview Modal. Select the Download Now button and choose the package type of the content. A zip file will be downloaded locally within the browser.

                            

Downloading from the Queue

  • Up to 200 content titles can be added to the Queue to create a more customized package of content.
  • From the Browse Content list: Content can be added by checking the box next to the title. Once checked a numeric indicator will appear on the left navigation showing the total number of items in the Queue.
  • From a Content Preview: Click Add to Queue. The numeric indicator on the left navigation will increase, the Preview Modal will remain open and the button will now change to Remove from Queue.

  • Next navigate to the Queue page and select Download All. The download modal will open allowing the choice of package type. A download link will be delivered to the email addresses indicated within the modal that will download a zipped file containing all content.

 

Downloading Custom and Customized Content

  • Downloading Custom or Customized Content is available from many locations. My Custom Content page can be used to Download All or add to the Queue page to create a more exclusive content package. Download Now is also available on the Content Preview and Content Profile allowing each course to be downloaded individually without any additional steps.
    • Please note that an Authentication Method must be set up to enable the download functionality.
