Clicking the Edit Photo button on My Profile will open a modal for uploading a new image as your profile photo. After clicking the Browse button on the modal you will see a preview of your new image on the modal. If you do not like the preview then you can keep browsing for different photos until you find one that you like. Once you are satisfied with your selection click Upload Image to save your selection as your profile photo.
