Playlists encourage Learners to tailor their personal learning experience by allowing them to gather and organize content and then view that content within the context of their playlist. With added sharing functionality, Learners can collaborate with others for informal social learning.
Playlist Tab
A playlist can be created, edited, or viewed by going to My Learning > Playlists tab. Within this tab, there are three types of playlists a Learner may have access to:
- My Playlists - playlists created by me
- Featured Playlists - playlists my Administrator has created for my Team(s)
- Shared with Me - playlists created by someone else in my organization who has allowed someone to view.
A Learner will be able to customize the thumbnail for their playlist by selecting the radio button to the left of the desired representative image.

Sharing/Shared with Me
A Learner will be able to share a playlist with any Team they belong to and the Team's associated learners. This encourages more collaboration between Teams and Learners within the LMS by sharing their own creative and insightful playlists so all Learners can benefit from each other.
To share a playlist, go to My learning > My Playlist page, choose the playlist to be shared, and select the share button (next to trash can icon). From there, you will be presented with a pop-up modal with Team and Learner sharing options.
Please note, Learners will only be able to share their own playlists. If they want to share a featured or shared playlist, they must duplicate it as one of their playlists before doing so.
Once a playlist is shared with someone, they will receive an email (only if you use an email as your username) AND they will also get a message in the LMS. From this message, the receiving Learner will have the option to view the playlist. Shared playlists will appear under My Learning > Playlists tab - Shared with Me tab. Shared playlists are dynamic playlists that will continue to reflect any updates made by its creator.
Note: With duplicate playlists, the copy will no longer receive playlist updates (this is your own playlist now), but the shared original will remain in the Share with Me tab as before.
If a Learner shares a playlist with you, and then deletes the playlist, it will no longer show up in your shared with me tab. Learners will also have the ability to manage their 'Shared with me' playlists by having a "remove" option so they can organize and reference the most relevant playlists according to their needs.

Duplicating Playlists
A Learner also has the ability to duplicate a playlist. If a Learner sees a shared or featured playlist they like and want to edit it, or keep a copy of its current state, they can use the duplicate function. It is important to note that if a featured or shared playlist is duplicated, the Learner will no longer see any updates made to the original playlist. When a playlist is duplicated, it will automatically go into the Learner's My Playlist tab.
Playlist Profile
Based on the standard content profile page, the playlist profile allows Learners to view content like they do with any other content profile, but it is targeted to allow for direct navigation between playlist items.
Existing content profile information such as title, description, duration, publish date, learning materials, etc. will remain visible for the selected content item. If applicable, a Learner will be presented with the same booster form they would receive on a regular content item to opt-in or out, then they will be presented with the quiz after the content viewing is complete.
On a playlist profile, Learners will not see the 'Next' and 'Previous' sections within the profile. Instead, Learners will be able to see each content item in the playlist in the right-hand sidebar. Also, the playlists' content will appear as end-of-content suggestions after the content item plays. These playlist profile-specific additions give Learners a central area of focused learning so they do not have to visit multiple pages to interact with and manage their playlist.

Saving Results to a Playlist
Learners can save groups of related content items to playlists directly from the Browse Library results page. Through browsing and filtering to 30 items or less, they activate the option to save all the results as playlists.
This is particularly useful when targeting our own BizLibrary Curated Learning Paths. We have created them to be 30 items or less so they may be easily saved as a playlist if desired. This is a recommended path for a Learner who is looking for expert recommendations but also wants to come back to the list over an extended period of time and track their progress on each item.
