What is Curriculum Builder?
Curriculum Builder solves the disconnect between the process of browsing the content library as a learner and the very different operations of actually assigning content to learners as an administrator. Curriculum Builder gives administrators a focused area from which to browse and assign content to their learners, among other things. Here, an administrator is able to see a wider view of available content while controlling the details important to them. Once they have compiled a list of content relevant to their needs, they are then able to share the content with their learners through assignments, learning initiatives, and other methods—all from one place.
It’s important to note that the content that is displayed within Curriculum Builder is based on the team you have selected. That way you know that particular team (and sub-teams) have correct library access.
Browsing
To make browsing easier within Curriculum Builder, there are many filters that an administrator can use in order to narrow down the courses they wish to assign. This makes the process of sorting results and locating courses much easier and efficient for the administrator.
In order to make sure the administrator has found the lesson they want, a dropdown will show a simplified content profile area containing key information about the content item—WITHOUT leaving their search results. Further, the administrator may click the thumbnail to preview the lesson—again, without disturbing their current Curriculum Builder view and without the content tracking to their own personal learning transcript.
Filtering and Sorting
To aid administrators in easily browsing content, they have control over the same robust set of filters that exist in Browse Library. The administrator may refine their results by easily adding or removing filters as needed.
The spreadsheet-style view allows easy manipulation of results. The administrator may select the columns they're interested in, hide the ones that don't add value to the results view, rearrange columns to suit them, and sort results based on the selected values. These columns remain customized across sessions until an administrator chooses to edit them.
