Overview

When preparing to begin trial and demos, we recommend defining two primary sections within your environment. One specifically for trials and another for demos.

• Trials
  • The trial environment can be leveraged for user experience previews to prospects to test the platform and content. Trials can be customized based on prospects focus and needs. We recommend having both an ‘Active’ and ‘Inactive’ trial team to keep organized on active and closed-lost deals. Trials should contain full library access and featured playlists to ensure there is a variety of content available.
• Demos
  • The demo environment can be leveraged to create a content demo experience that allows your internal teams to talk through courses and launch experiences. Demos should contain full library access and featured playlists to ensure there is a variety of content available.

Your Access & Privileges

You will have one single ID to manage trails and demos. These ID’s will have full access and privileges to modify trials and add learners as needed.

Trial Platform Processes:

Creating new trials

Team Creation

1. Select Administration from the main drop-down menu
2. Click People followed by Teams
3. Locate and select your personal ‘Active Trials’ team
4. Select New Team in the upper-right corner
5. Enter the Team's name and description. Description should include trials start and end dates.
6. Click Create New Team

Learner Creation

1. From your Homepage, select Administration from the main drop-down menu.
2. In the Administrative Navigation Menu, select People followed by Learners.
3. Click New Learner in the upper-right corner.
4. Enter the new Learner's username, password, first/last name, and email address.
5. Ensure the billing ID is set.
6. Click Create New Learner when finished.

Content Processes:

Playlists

Pre-populated playlists can be set up at any time. These can be duplicated for your prospective demos as you see fit to make content available to them.

To duplicate a playlist for your prospect trial:

1. Select Administration from the drop-down menu.
2. Select People and Teams from the Administrative Navigation Menu
3. Choose the Team’s profile and navigate to the Featured Playlists tab to access the creation and management of a featured playlist.
4. Choose the corresponding radio button next to the desired playlist
5. Select Duplicate Playlist
6. Enter the name of the Team you want to copy the Featured Playlist to
7. Click Duplicate Playlist once the Team has been selected

Ending trials

Deactivating Trial Users

1. Select Administration from the main menu dropdown
2. Select People from the sidebar menu and then select Learners
3. Select the Actions menu in the top right corner then Deactivate Learner
4. Select the check box that states "Move Learner Upon Deactivation"
5. Once checked, two drop downs will appear
6. Select the Inactive Learners Team as the destination (Add To: dropdown)
7. Select All Teams, as teams to be removed from (Remove From: dropdown)
