OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is the agency that was created to ensure safe working conditions for workers by setting and enforcing a series of rigorous standards. The 10hour course is designed for entry-level workers and includes a general overview of common safety and health hazards. The 30-hour course is designed for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility and covers a much wider range of topics. Upon course completion, learners will receive an official Department of Labor OSHA card.
Using OSHA Content Within an LMS
ClickSafety content may be accessed via the BizLibrary Learning Management System (LMS) or in a non-BizLibrary LMS. When used with the BizLibrary LMS, all aspects of library maintenance and content updates are handled automatically. For non-BizLibrary Learning Management Systems, clients will need to handle the update themselves or work with their LMS vendor directly.
Licensing the Content
A license can be allocated to an individual, and utilization is tracked by the initial course launch. Once the learner launches the course, per OSHA guidelines, they have 180 days to complete the course. The license cannot be reassigned to another individual once the course has been launched.
Per OSHA regulations, learners have a daily limit of 7.5 hours, after which the course will time out and let them know that they have exceeded their daily limit. In total, a learner must spend at least 2 days in an OSHA 10-hour course and 4 days in an OSHA 30 course.
At the completion of the course, the learner will submit the following information via in-course questionnaire, for delivery of their OSHA DOL card:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Mailing Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
To pass the course and receive the DOL card, a learner must score at least 70% on the final exam. OSHA courses only allow 3 attempts for all checkpoint exams, as well as the final exam. The final exam for the online OSHA 30-Hour course has 100 questions, and the online OSHA 10-Hour course has 40 questions.
Any client licensing OSHA content should refer to the ClickSafety terms of use and privacy policy.
